some background info about my business and brand…

I have an associates degree in photography and I recently graduated with my Bachelors of Fine Arts in Visual Communications from Weber State. I am consumed with all forms of art. Especially clean typography, graphic design, letterpress, screen printing,  furniture design, architecture, and of course photography.

I learned how to shoot with film, but I do shoot mostly digital now, I will however bring my polaroid and holga cameras to just about every session! I use only professional Nikon equipment. I am a natural light photographer, meaning that I don’t use studio lights, and keep flash use to a minimum; creating real, personal, and natural photographs.

I specialize in environmental portraits, focusing on the subject and their surrounding environment that gives them character; illuminating their life. I don’t really believe in posing people. As I watch your interactions, I might tell you to ’stop there,’ or ‘do that again!’ or ‘pretend I’m not here!’ I believe in documenting an event as it is, not forcing smiles or poses. For this reason I focus on weddings, couples, and small families.
