THE WHELAN’S BACKYARD

Featured Documentary Family Session

THE WHELAN’S BACKYARD

Documenting Families just being families. It’s messy and imperfect, but always so simply beautiful. The Whelan’s are some of the most incredible people, and I love being able to document their family each year. A fresh haircut, cooking pizza on the BBQ, a few drinks, dip in the hot-tub, lawn games, uncle and grandparents. The perfect summer evening.

THE RUSHTON FAMILY TOMATO FARM

Generations of Memories Documented Before Demolition

THE RUSHTON FAMILY TOMATO FARM

The Rushton family has lived on this land for generations. Their homes were demolished in order to expand the road. I was asked to come document their memories here before it was gone. We wandered the property, hearing old stories about the rock used to build the fireplace, the cabinets in the kitchen, the oven, how the piano saved the home from the fire in the front room, playing in the orchard, and tomato sales every summer.

BOATING WITH THE CAVINS

A Family Adventure Session

BOATING WITH THE CAVINS

Documenting a family adventure, boating on Utah Lake, with the entire Cavin Family. Packing coolers full of sandwiches, loading up the boat, resting in the shade, and cooling off in the water.

A DAY WITH THE WAKEFIELDS

Documenting

A DAY WITH THE WAKEFIELDS

A day in the life of the Wakefield Family. Lauriann and Perry asked me to come document some of their family’s daily activities with two of the sweetest energetic boys, Scottie and Jack. Garden City offers a slow artists life in the winter and spring, and she wanted some storytelling images created before the busy tourist season arrived in Bear Lake, Utah.
